A new training program launched by the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (306-559-2410) uses hands-on learning and online classes to help new students become fully certified to work in a MedSpa while learning at their own pace.

A new training program for aestheticians, launched by the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy, helps students to become fully certified for MedSpa careers while learning at their own pace, from anywhere with an internet connection.

At the end of each program, students will be fully certified in up to a dozen popular MedSpa techniques, and ready to open their own business or begin work in a local clinic. These new courses are open to all Canadian residents with at least a high school diploma or some form of relevant work experience.

While students can complete the majority of their training from anywhere with an internet connection, they will be required to spend at least one week at a Dermysk Academy training location. This practical portion of the class will allow them to get hands-on experience with MedSpa tools, procedures, and clients, while supervised by a training specialist.

Although the Dermysk Academy currently has six classes available, new students are restricted to 2 options, the Basic or Master-level MedSpa training. In the Basic course, students will learn about the MedSpa industry, the underlying physics and biology of popular treatments, and industry-specific business strategies.

The Basic course also includes certification in up to a dozen of the most popular treatments, including laser hair or tattoo removal, laser pigmentation treatments, and micro-blading. Graduates from this course will be ready to begin work in a MedSpa immediately, or they may choose to return to the Dermysk Academy for Advanced training, which includes more complex procedures such as Body Sculpting.

Students may also choose to enroll directly in the Master-level training program but should be aware that this intensive course is only for certain highly dedicated individuals. This Master-level program covers all the content from both the Basic and Advanced programs, as well as exclusive training not available elsewhere.

Graduates of the Master-level training will be fully certified in even the most complex MedSpa techniques, such as Vampire Lifts, laser gynecology, and stem cell treatments. They will also receive a Master of Medical Aesthetics certificate, and be enrolled in the Dermysk Academy’s after-graduate support program.
